AFTA Plan Terms and conditions
The Total Assurance Plan (AFTA) conditions of cover: 1.Should it be necessary to use customer's own personal insurance in the event that a carrier's insurance fails to pay, this plan will cover the customer's own personal insurance deductible to a maximum amount of $1000 upon receipt of proof of payment of the deductible from the customer's insurance company. 2.Or, up to a maximum of $ 400 will be paid for any damage discovered after a vehicle has been delivered and a bill of lading has been signed where the claim is submitted within 48 hours after delivery. This claim is not subject to any personal insurance claim. Conditional is a.Reporting of exact date and time of delivery coinciding with both the carrier and customer. a copy of the signed bill of lading by both the truck driver on behalf of the carrier company and the person who placed the shipping order or his/her representative b.Proof of damage by photo images within the 48 hours claim period. c.2 quotes have to be submitted within 7 days of claim from registered body repair companies 3.This claim is not valid if the vehicle was too dirty or it was too dark for inspection upon delivery. It is the obligation of the customer and carrier to ensure the vehicle is clean and reasonable lighting is available for inspection. If the vehicle is too dirty for inspection and it cannot be cleaned, the customer should note in the bill of lading that a reasonable inspection was not possible due to too much dirt and have both parties initial it on the bill of lading. 4.This plan does not cover vehicle depreciation claims due to damage to a vehicle. 5.This plan does not cover vehicle rental expenses due to delivery or repair delays. 6.A check will be issued to the body repair company upon the submission of invoice. 7.It is conditional that all customers have personal vehicle insurance.
